Currently, I am ideating game mechanics, documenting them, prototyping, and working on level design and quest scripting

I am currently working on this project as a generalist game designer, responsible for system design, ideating mechanics, level design, visual scripting, and writing specification documents for the game.

Since the game is in development and under NDA, I cannot divulge any detailed information.

Currently my responsibilities are:

  • System Design and Mechanics Ideation:

    • Conceptualize and develop innovative game systems and mechanics.

  • Documentation:

    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and mechanics.

  • Prototyping:

    • Develop prototypes to provide the team with a tangible sense of new systems and mechanics.

  • Tool Enhancement:

    • Use visual scripting and level design tools.

    • Collaborate with coding teams to enhance these tools, making them more design-friendly and improving quality-of-life for all users.

  • Visual Scripting:

    • Utilize the proprietary visual scripting tool to create gameplay sections, including quests, interactions, and NPC encounters.

  • Iteration:

    • Ensure documentation and prototypes are up to date and continuously iterate on them.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration:

    • Work with other departments to ensure features and designs align with the game's vision.

    • Champion features, ensuring all departments are informed and in agreement.
